Luigi Massoni (Milan, 1930) designer and architect. After a period of training at the Collettivo di Architettura in Milan and his first professional experiences between 1953 and 1955, he started his design career by creating the cocktail shaker (1957, with Carlo Mazzeri) and the 'Series 5' containers, which is still in production for Alessi. In 1959, through partnership with a group of furniture manufacturers, he became the organizer of the foundation of Mobilia and that same year he also joined Boffi as a production coordinator and designer, creating some of the first ever modular systems for the home and kitchen. It was in 1965 that he joined Guzzini. This 'Moana' floor lamp has a round base and a tubular structure in chrome-plated thin steel elements with a lampshade in matte white plastic. Produced by Guzzini in the 1960s. It has some small wear from over the years on the white cap, but overall in very good condition.
