This characterful mid-century stool is made from a single solid block of oak, with a beautiful live edge seat and four slightly splayed, hand-shaped legs. The irregular top shows rich grain, tool marks and age cracks. The stool has been cleaned and lightly waxed. The organic form recalls rustic Alpine furniture and the French organic modernism of Perriand and Chapo, yet it remains unmistakably handmade and unique. Sturdy enough as extra seating and perfect as a low side table, plant stand or bedside table in a wabi-sabi, mid-century or rustic interior. Good condition, with signs of age that enhance its character.
