We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare and highly collectible transformable bookshelf by Boeckh Brothers LTD, circa 1910-1920, fully restored and convertible from a baker's shelf to a dining table. This is the best example available in the world, restored with refurbished wood, featuring a traditional French wax finish to enhance the colour, with the original label still present at the base of one of the shelves. The metal frame retains all its period patina, waxed and polished. It functions correctly, although it is not perfectly flat like a normal table due to its multi-part composition, but it does its job very well. Dimensions: Height: 140 cm, Width: 90.5 cm, Depth: 66 cm, Extended Height: 78.5 cm, Extended Width: 155.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Please refer to the very detailed photos for the condition. The item has been renovated. Wear is consistent with age and use. This product is available in different sizes, with lengths up to 155.5 cm, widths up to 90.5 cm, and heights up to 140 cm.
