Superb "Troïka" armchair, an iconic piece published by the famous Airborne International house in the 1950s. Recognisable for its dynamic profile and sculptural armrests, it embodies the elegance of post-war French modernism. Restoration done to the highest standards: As an upholstery specialist, I took particular care in the complete refurbishment of this piece in my workshop: Total stripping: sound metal frame, treated with a protective coating to ensure its longevity. Completely renewed padding with Bultex foam, with appropriate densities. Upholstery in velvet (60, 000 rubs). This fabric, in a deep sapphire blue, perfectly matches the 1950s style and highlights the brass feet. Very soft, yet also very durable and easy to clean on a daily basis. The original label from the publisher Airborne is present under the cushion, above the freespan spring system in perfect original condition (see photos). Pencil legs in black steel, finished with their original brass caps, carefully cleaned, with joints in perfect working order. A characterful piece, restored with care, ready to add a touch of design to your interior. Often attributed to Paul Geoffroy for the Guariche workshops.
