A very rare “Chameleon” set, designed by Sergio Asti for Arnolfo di Cambio Italy in the 1970s. These aperitif glasses have a cylindrical base with an enclosed air bubble, which not only makes them very heavy, but also very comfortable to hold. Intended as aperitif glasses, they are also excellent for wine, liqueur, and similar beverages. They are made of alexandrite/neodymium glass. This means that a substance has been added to the glass that absorbs yellow light. In daylight or normal lighting, the object appears lilac/pink, while in cold light (e.g., fluorescent tubes and similar) it appears violet to light blue. 16 cm high. 8 cm diameter.
