Complete set of 12 deep plates in English earthenware, manufactured by Alfred Meakin (Tunstall, Staffordshire). Iconic "Coaching Days" pattern with blue transfer decoration on a cream white background, depicting scenes of a stagecoach in front of an inn. The elegance of these pieces lies in their lobed border with a worked relief in twisted spirals, creating a subtle play of light on the plate's rim. Why we love it. The deep plate is the centrepiece of a generous table. With a diameter of 22.5 cm and a lovely depth of 4 cm, it is ideal for enhancing risottos, seasonal soups, or saucy dishes, while retaining heat.
