Pair of gilded wrought iron oak pedestal tables by Garouste & Bonetti 1995

Very beautiful pair of pedestal tables signed by elizabeth garouste & mattia bonetti, crochet model, designed in 1995 by the iconic duo, and published by the en attendant les barbares gallery in paris. Their structure is in wrought iron, made by diego giacometti's ironworker, then waxed, with a gold leaf finish on the hooks, topped with round solid oak tops. These tables are typical of the avant-garde, offbeat and baroque style of this world-renowned designer duo, and above all very decorative. These pedestal tables are in superb condition. They have been completely restored, tops revarnished, the wrought iron legs delicately cleaned to respect their original patina. Each table is signed bg, and stamped with the gallery.
