Superb and rare design light by Louis Poulsen from the 1960s, no longer in production today. Although Louis Poulsen is best known for its iconic lights, such as the PH5, designed in collaboration with Poul Henningsen, or the AJ lamp conceived by Arne Jacobsen, the "Waggon" model is equally impressive, both for its innovative design and unique aesthetic. In the early 1960s, the Louis Poulsen brand drew inspiration from the old lights found in the first-class carriages of Danish trains. The goal was to create a recessed light that was as discreet as possible, resulting in an aluminium structure covered with a brass disc, featuring a curved, frosted opal glass shade. With their rounded shape and elegant combination of brass and glass, these lights are true gems. When lit, they emit a soft and pleasant light through the frosted glass, without glare, while the brass ring creates a lovely contrast. They work perfectly with a standard E27 bulb (included). This light can be used as a wall sconce or a ceiling light. Three are available. Exceptional appearance when all three are together. The "Louis Poulsen" label is present on two sconces, ensuring their authenticity. On the third, the trace of the old label is visible. Nice patina, with some signs of wear reflecting their history. Three unique vintage pieces for design enthusiasts! The price for the set of three will be more advantageous. Please contact us for that. Dimensions: ø24 cm X D. 12 cm.
