The plates are all in perfect condition, no cracks, no gaps or shards. They served very little. They come from the earthenware of niderviller in Moselle, created in the 18th century in the town of the same name, and which is one of the oldest earthenware factories in Lorraine. It is one of the first earthenware factories to have made porcelain in France, its ideal geographical location in the east, very close to the border with Germany, will allow it to benefit from all the know-how and experience of German craftsmen. The niderviller earthenware factory is one of the last remaining in operation in the region. The plates are all marked on the back of the stamp of the black ink factory. These are hollow plates. The pattern was made by hand, each plate being painted with a brush, one by one. Very nice mix of matte enamel for the whole bottom of the plate, and shiny enamel for the details of the kittens. Light kittens are very graceful, with their thin, soft black stems that seem to dance to white backgrounds brushed with light grey. They date back to the 1950s. These are plates of very good quality, and in excellent condition.
