Set of twelve plates illustrated "Les petits métiers" in Opaque de Sarreguemines 1900

This old series of twelve talking plates "les petits métiers" is in opaque de sarreguemines. It is illustrated with scenes of the lively lives of working children. In black and white, the scenes represent the crafts of yesteryear embodied by children. The border is decorated with a pretty frieze of vines. In earthenware of sarreguemines, they are stamped on the back "opaque de sarreguemines. The illustrations are screen-printed in monochrome. Each plate is different, we find: the saltimbanques. Puppets. Broom merchants. Chimney sweeps. The groom. Shrimp fishermen. Street singers. The shepherd. Learned dogs. The monkey merchant. The foam. Chemical match merchants. They are 19 cm in diameter. In good general condition, I report cracks in the enamel and very small splinters on the edge.
