Danish design KEBE steeltube graphic upholstered lounge chair

This KEBE steeltube lounge chair is a striking example of Danish vintage design, featuring a radical, graphic form. Designed in the style of an upholstered monoblock, the entire chair appears as a single, flowing upholstered sculpture, defined by clean, architectural lines. The fully upholstered steel tube frame gives the chair a weightless, floating appearance. The seat shell is formed by a continuous, serpentine curve, supported by two solid, cubic side panels that also serve as armrests. The upholstery has a monoblock aesthetic, with the seat, back, and armrests appearing as a single, unified form. Vertical decorative seams emphasize the graphic structure. The backrest cascades downward like a waterfall, forming the back panel. Condition: The chair is offered in moderate but usable original condition. Flaws include faded grey fabric upholstery, lumpy and shifted armrest padding after washing, fabric tears, small holes on the seat and one armrest, and a missing zipper pull. Despite these defects, the steel frame is stable and the chair is fully usable as is, offering exceptional seating comfort. Restoration is not immediately necessary, and the chair can be used as an authentic vintage piece or as a rewarding restoration project.
