Our IG page: Unseen.berlin_shop. Original Made in GDR (East Germany) bedside lamp featuring a warm wooden base and a beautiful gradient glass shade fading from soft yellow to deep orange. A true example of DDR-era design, combining functionality with simple, honest materials. The base retains its original VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb) label. VEB stands for “publicly owned enterprise” and was the main type of company in the former East Germany (DDR). Pieces like this were produced before the fall of the Berlin Wall and are no longer in production since German reunification, making this lamp an authentic historical design object.
