Superb low stool or popular art side table in solid oak, in a brutalist and monastic style, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900/1910). Carved from a single piece, this robust and heavy model features a magnificent sculptural work: a central open oculus adorned with a traditional trilobed Gothic clover, complemented by sculpted architectural corbels beneath the seat. Its dark and authentic patina highlights the rustic grain of the wood. Ideal as a side table, characterful end table, bedside table, or plant stand in a modern, bohemian, or wabi-sabi interior. Style: Brutalist / Ecclesiastical / High Period / Neo-Gothic. Solid oak. Dark brown / Patinated raw wood. In very good vintage condition. Very stable, solid, and heavy. Normal signs of wear that add to its charm. Dimensions: Height: 40 cm Seat: 28.5 cm X 29 cm.
