Tripod console table plant stand in the shape of a plectrum.

Charming little tripod table that can hold a green plant, a vase, a lamp, or serve as an end table and even as a bedside table or coffee table if your living room is small or in a minimalist style. It dates from the 1950s to 1970s with its pretty tapered solid wood legs adorned with a patinated gold metal covering (brass, I think) and mounted at an angle. The top, bordered with a beige plastic edge, very light brown, has the shape of a guitar pick. It is made of solid wood, covered with a formica-type coating imitating rosewood, a wood whose grain has colours ranging from dark red to brown. This little piece of furniture is in generally good condition, solid, stable, but it has some signs that testify to its age. On the surface of the top, there are marks and scratches, not excessively visible. On the legs: normal dark patina on the brass, small various marks, and probably the absence of the original varnish on the wood. The edge has a small chip, and I wonder whether it is original or has been replaced. Indeed, this type of furniture featured this kind of edge, but this one slightly overhangs the edge of the formica (between 0.2 and 1mm approximately depending on the spot around the perimeter). Its colour is quite original for this period, as these edges were most often black. Completely usable as is, this piece would also be perfect for a makeover (reviving the gold on the legs, varnishing the wood, covering the top with a vintage or Liberty patterned coating, and lacquering the edge in gold... One just needs to let their imagination run wild! It measures 30 cm on each side, 29 cm in height. For shipping, the legs will be unscrewed, but I will add small labels to number the legs and their positions, as sometimes it is better to leave each leg in its original position.
