Georges Tigien Sideboard/Table/Chairs Set. Prototype/Pre-production, 1960s, Pradera Furniture. Designer: Georges-Adrien Tigien, 20th century. Manufacturer: Pradera Furniture, France (Jura). White plastic cord lacing system known as "Prénas" thread. Patent issued in 1958. (source: art-utile.blogspot.com) This furniture set comes directly from the Jura factory that produced furniture in the 1960s. Two-Door Cabinet: Green Formica top and doors, solid beech base and frame. The lower cabinet has two doors and one interior shelf. It is in very good condition except for a small, barely visible repair on the left side. Dimensions: Length 109 cm / Height 71 cm / Depth 52.5 cm. Table: Laminated wood and green Formica top, beech base. Dimensions: Length 83 cm / Backrest height 75 cm / Width 83 cm. 4 Chairs: 4 chairs in teak and solid beech with original black lacquer finish, white plastic wicker lacing system known as "Prénas" for the backrest and seat. The chairs are in good condition with some normal signs of wear. Dimensions: Backrest height 77 cm / Seat height 45 cm / Width 44 cm.
