• It has been sanded externally. • For the inside of the display case: I washed and varnished it while preserving its original colour. • The same goes for the shelves; I keep its original patina, but they are clean and varnished. • Insecticide treatment as a precaution. • The lock is new. • A hard backing to prevent any potential tannin bleed. • Then painted: “Camaëlle” paint (environmentally friendly), colour "orchid" from their colour chart. Clear matte varnish to protect the whole. • Despite the extreme care taken in its renovation, the marks of its history remain: 1/ See photo for the lower part of one of the two doors, which is slightly split. 2/ Two small marks on one of the glass panes, like two tiny frosted circles, impossible to photograph, and apparently, only I can see them. They testify to its history and make it a unique piece of furniture. Today, the display case is clean, healthy, and completely functional, ready to start a new life. • Thanks to its size, it can really fit into any room of your home.
