La Fonda Chair Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra

La Fonda chair, designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra by Herman Miller. The chair features a fiberglass shell with red upholstery and a La Fonda base. While the design dates from the 1960s, this particular example, bearing a Vitra by Herman Miller label, can be dated to the late 1970s to early 1980s. During this transitional production period from Herman Miller to Vitra, many chairs were marked with this label, especially for export to Europe or when combining American and European components. The chair is in good vintage condition, with light signs of wear consistent with its age.
