Chest of drawers from an old school

Magnificent set of 12 drawers dating from the 1940s, In beautiful condition, the drawers have their orignal paint finish which I have cleaned and waxed, the plateau was painted but I decided to remove the paint and show off the oak plateau, the plateau is varnished with liberon antique varnish clear.there are some traces of the old paint which were too deep but only add to the irresistible charm of this magnificent piece. The drawer frame and fronts of the drawers are also made of oak. All the hard ware is original and in lovely vintage condition.nothing missing ! The chest of drawers is very well built. The set of drawers is very versatile I use them to divide my open plan living area, they could be used in a kitchen, lounge or a bedroom.or study.endless ideas. The drawers feature two slide outs which I adore and my children do their homework on. The chest of drawers has had a varied life, definitely made for a school as there is one drawer that is heavily stained with ink see photo, The chest of drawers was then in more of a industrial setting as there is evidence of a vice been fitted to the plateau which has been removed but two holes are still seen. This is a beautiful piece of furniture and would look great in any setting, and it wil be definitely admired !.
