Rare model of seats that perfectly illustrate the rational and functional work developed by Van Der Meeren in the 1950s: black metal tubular structure, airy lines, architectural proportions, and aesthetics. The backs and armrests are original, retaining their period blue upholstery with visible studded finish on the reverse. The seats have been recently redone in a black leather look, offering a beautiful graphic contrast and optimal daily comfort. Very nice visual presence, both in a modernist and contemporary interior, architect's office, gallery, or collection space. Overall condition is very good considering the age, with signs of use consistent with a vintage piece: * some marks and scuffs on the black tubular structure, * slight wear visible on some armrests (see photos), * patina and occasional oxidation of the original studs, * foot caps showing signs of use. Stable and functional set. Dimensions of an armchair: * Width: 60 cm. * Depth: 56 cm. * Height: 70 cm. * Seat height: 41 cm.
