Pair of neo-Gothic chairs 19th century

Pair of magnificent neo-gothic rectangular chairs dating from the second half of the 19th century, very finely carved and moulded walnut, with a partially opened back of gnats on the top and with very finely carved hollow foliage. Top of the flowered back of very finely carved leaves, presence at the bottom of the back of an open cross of sculpted and moulded trilobed arches, presence on the sides of two studs with a trilobed lancet carved in hollows and topped with a very elaborate and very finely carved pinnacle. The four feet of each chair are decorated with finely executed torso grooves and topped by a capital also finely carved. In very good condition with a recently redone almond green velvet trim.
