Antique victorian shop counter

Incredible victorian shop counter which originates from a haberdashery shop in the spitalfields area of london, an area renowned for jewish tailors. The front has two large and two smaller decorative panels; we believe it may have been cut down at some point so it must be have been huge! The rear side has eight large pigeon holes which are perfect for displaying crockery and pots and pans, or you could put baskets in the hide lots of clutter! We have sanded the hardwood top back so it is a clean surface to work on and can be sealed if required. There is an indent which would have had a brass ruler. It has been later painted in black eggshell. It is a great looking piece from both sides so would make a fantastic centrepiece in a kitchen; however would work equally well against a wall. It would also make a great shop counter in a retail setting.
