A lovely earthenware candlestick from Martres-Tolosane, hand-painted with a green floral design on a white background. It features a spouted cup, a central foot, and a saucer to collect the wax. Signed on the back: “GG” in black and an orange “X”. In very good condition, with no chips or cracks. A vintage handcrafted piece, likely mid-20th century. Height 9 cm, saucer diameter 14.5 cm. Origin: workshops of Martres-Tolosane (Haute-Garonne). Perfect for decoration or use. Martres-Tolosane is a village in Haute-Garonne known since the 18th century for its high-fired earthenware, produced in small family workshops (Matet, Faïencerie Artisanale, etc.).
