Small oak bonnetière, moulded and carved, Louis XIV, Regency. The richly carved and moulded door opens to three shelves. Functional lock and key. In very good condition. Antique French Provençal style wardrobe (more specifically a bonnetière, which is a tall and narrow piece of furniture with a single door, originally intended for storing hats and household linen). Style: It features elements of the Louis XIV style, likely a regional interpretation. The arched upper panel adorned with floral scrolls (known as "rocaille") and the recessed panels are typical characteristics. Relief panels: The door is divided into three distinct panels with deep mouldings. Hardware: You can see long decorative pin-shaped hinges on the left side (the outer iron hinges), typical of authentic French furniture, allowing the heavy door to open fully.
