The kettle with melodic whistle 9091 is the second product designed by Sapper for Alessi, published in 1983, a poly-sensoriel object, which is using more sense than do normally kettles. Richard Sapper wished that she could also apply to the hearing. We have achieved this by introducing the whistle of the "singers", these small tubes used to tune musical instruments, reports Alberto Alessi, the leader of the House. The materialistic boiling function water added is the poetic aspect of the melody out of the whistle. This is one of the first published - it dates from the middle of the 80 s. Background doubled copper. Faint traces of use, small scratches and patina on the brass whistles. Sublime guard object, present in all the museums of design - rare! Kettle in stainless steel 18/10 brilliant with whistle melodic brass and handle in PA, black. Diameter 16.50 cm. Height (cm): 19cm. (Cl/oz) capacity: 200.
