The original Eames Herman Miller EA337 high back ribbed office chair is the iconic office or home desk chair and these examples are in great vintage condition! The perfect set up for any working environment, it brings the stylish design of the original ‘ribbed’ chair with the added comfort of the higher back support. The Eames office chair has been the most popular office chair since it was introduced in 1958 and with the steady introduction of ‘new’ variants as the series saw more and more popularity. The ribbed version was introduced alongside the mesh version and the high back variant was introduced in 1966. Individual Characteristics The leather on these chairs is in an aged, used, condition, there are signs of use on the edges and on the arms which give them an aged character. The metal does show signs of its age and may benefit from a good polish, but this is only visual and does not affect the structural integrity of the chairs. The label on the underside indicates these chairs were produced in 1986 by Herman Miller.
