Magnificent set of tulip vases, generously sized and in perfect condition. These vases come from the Tours region, produced by the ceramist Gustave Asch, born in 1856 and died in 1919. He is credited with the "Tours blue" glaze, a dark blue similar to Sèvres blue, as well as "Empire green" and "peacock blue." These vases are in "Tours blue," a dark color that also appears luminous upon closer inspection (see photos). The gold circles make them festive vases, perfect for decorating your home during the holiday season. They suggest bubbles, evoking lightness. Although dating from the Art Deco period, they are decidedly modern. The artist's signature is located at the base of the vase, along with an axe (referencing his name), the number 68, and "France." Diameter of the opening at the top: 6 cm, at its widest point: 15 cm, and total height: 30 cm. Carefully packaged for shipping.
