Magnificent old murex ramosus shell mounted on a napoleon III turned wooden base weighted at the base with lead. Late 19th, early 20th century. Ideal for a cabinet of curiosities or contemporary decoration. Very good condition, look at the photos. Height: 25 cm -7 1/2 inches. Foot height: 9 cm - 2 3/4 inches. Shell width at widest: 13 cm - 3/3/4 inches. Depth: 10 cm - 3 inches. Base diameter: 5.5 cm - 1 3/4 inches. Weight: 300 grams.
