SUITE 4 ARMCHAIRS FRENCH PARIS LOUIS XV ERA STAMP FALCONET

Here is a rare suite of 4 louis XV period armchairs. They bear the falconet stamp. They are made of beech wood, all curved and moving. They are molded and sculpted, each has a convertible back and a padded seat. We guarantee authenticity and the louis XV era. The steeply retracted shoulder consoles cling finely to the side sleepers and support cuffs. You will find a crossbeam enriched with typical louis XV florets. The armchairs rest on 4 feet with acanthus lift. Louis falconet (died c. 1775) - carpenter in seats. Master's degree on september 9, 1743. Son of pierre, carpenter in seats also who worked rue de clery, under the sign of fidelity, between 1738 and 1750. Louis falconet keeps the same stamp as his father. The seats of the father and son, being almost all louis XV style, it is not possible to distinguish their author. The seats are of good quality and in a good state of conservation for the time. They were restored and reupholstered in the early 2000s. Defects are minimal for an eighteenth century article.
