This superb jug is made of red glazed earthenware from Sarreguemines. This earthenware pitcher is adorned with motifs of grapes and vine leaves. The decoration is in relief, enhanced by a beautiful red glaze. The handle is rounded. Dating from the 1930s-1940s, it is marked "SARREGUEMINES DV FRANCE" and "5955 - 2" in relief. In beautiful condition, it measures 15 X 24 cm in height.
