Restored mid-century armchair type 366 by j. chierowski - yellow 1960s

We are proud to present the absolute icon of Eastern European Mid-Century Modern design: the Type 366 armchair, designed in 1962 by Jozef Chierowski. With its compact footprint, lightweight silhouette, and remarkably comfortable seating angle, it is the perfect accent chair for modern apartments, reading nooks, or stylish offices. DESIGN AND RESTORATION This specific chair has been completely and professionally restored from the ground up in our specialized workshop. The iconic compass-style frame, made of solid beech wood, was carefully stripped of all old varnishes. We stained it in a deep, elegant walnut shade and finished the surface with premium, eco-friendly hard wax oil. This treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that protects the wood against daily wear and moisture, avoiding the artificial gloss of synthetic lacquers. The original, characteristic metal mounting screws have been preserved and restored. To ensure modern comfort, the entire internal seating structure was rebuilt. All old webbing and foams have been replaced with brand new, high-density materials. For the upholstery, we selected a vibrant, high-quality woven fabric in a beautiful mustard-yellow shade.
