Bajot coffee table - Brass & wood - Very good condition

We are selling a superb coffee table in wood and brass, also called a "bajot table". This beautifully patinated table is old and has been restored with great taste. It consists of an octagonal table resting on a square table supported by 4 rounded legs. The fronts are carved and the edge decorated with gilded nails and brass ironwork. On the top of the table, in the center, a pretty 8-petal flower motif. The top of this table is liftable (held by two hinges) to benefit from a beautiful storage space. A favorite table, ideal for having an aperitif, playing cards, placing a candle while meditating in front of a strand of burning incense.
