Hi-Fi Unit / Occasional Table in Plexiglass – 1970s. Top quality! An icon of seventies design. A magnificent vintage Hi-Fi unit from the 1970s, entirely made of thick, high-quality transparent thermoformed plexiglass. With its clean lines and total transparency, it transcends time without visually cluttering the space, fitting seamlessly into vintage, modernist, or contemporary interiors. Elegant and functional details: • Robust structure assembled with discreet gold fittings. • Mounted on its original gold wheels, perfectly functional, adding a superb chic contrasting touch. • Modularity: Equipped with 4 progressively sized niches, originally designed to hold a turntable, an amplifier, vinyl records, or today repurposed as an occasional table, side table, or storage unit for books and curiosities. Overall dimensions: • Width: 60 cm. • Depth: 40 cm. • Height: 70 cm. Useful dimensions of the storage niches (from top to bottom): • Top niche: H 10.5 cm × W 50 cm. • Second niche: H 11 cm × W 50 cm. • Third niche: H 15 cm × W 50 cm. • Bottom niche: H 20 cm × W 50 cm. Condition: Good overall vintage condition. The plexiglass has retained its beautiful transparency. Like all vintage Altuglas/Plexiglass furniture that has stood the test of time, it shows some light signs of use and normal surface micro-scratches that do not detract from its overall aesthetic or sturdiness.
