Glazed ceramic gargoulette

Emblematic object of the mediterranean regions, especially the south of the france and especially of spain (botijo in spanish), the gargoulette is a terracotta jug that was very useful to farmers. It was used to store water and especially to keep it cool for hours! On either side of the cove allowing its transport, there is a filling neck and a narrow spout that pours the water into a thin net, which makes it possible to "drink at the regalade", that is to say without carrying the container to the mouth. This model with its beautiful yellow color reminds us of the sun, the southern regions and their warm lands. Excellent condition.
