Bureau industriel vintage des années 50 – double caisson, 7 tiroirs, métal

A characterful mid-century industrial office desk, believed to date from the 1950s. Its double-pedestal silhouette, rounded corners, horizontal metal handles and low plinth bases reflect the understated, functional styling of office furniture from this period. Seven working drawers provide generous storage: three in each side pedestal and one central drawer. Burgundy-red interiors create an attractive contrast with the metallic silver exterior and black desktop. A striking piece for a home office, creative studio or loft-style interior. Originally dark green, the desk has been repainted in metallic silver. The finish has a distressed, timeworn appearance, adding to its industrial character. The black faux-leather/vinyl desktop is in good overall condition, with one small area of surface wear where the covering has worn through, shown in the photographs.
