Mid Century Tall Boy or Secretary in tortoiseshell and lacquer by Ottini

This unique mid-century Tall Boy and/or secretary, made of solid oak covered with real tortoiseshell and fully varnished, was created in Milan by a small design studio called Ottini. It features three large drawers, four small drawers, a large compartment that can serve as a secretary or dry bar, and a large storage compartment. Ottini produced bespoke furniture for renowned architects and interior designers, using only high-quality materials such as goat parchment, python, crocodile, and tortoiseshell. The colour palette and the details of the tortoiseshell patchwork are simply stunning. The design is typical of Italian mid-century style, with rounded shapes, reminiscent of Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot design. A truly unique piece, extremely rare, in very good vintage condition. Made in Italy in 1973.
