Old office table, with two drawers, of the nineteenth century. Its wide fir top is fixed to the base by a multitude of small pegs, its sleepers and drawers are made of cherry and its base is made of oak. Classic assembly of the dovetail drawers, and the mortise stud structure. Presented here as a kitchen table, it can of course serve as a table in any room of the house, office... But it is originally an office table that we offer. The mixture of its wood species, the important sections of its entire structure (it weighs nearly 40kg), its iron reinforcements visible under the top to make it a stable and solid table, and its unusual height (the oak risers are old, made in all simplicity, we deliberately left them as they are), testify to a domestic use in an office, at the time. And to complete the picture: its unusual drawer handles in the shape of a scale weight to open the two deep compartmentalized drawers. We have completely cleaned and waxed it in our workshop, remain some marks of use and time, stains on the tray, which give it all its charm and authenticity. Note, some rare and ancient traces of xylophagous insects, a slight uplift in an angle of the tray due to a node clearly visible in our photos. This table is ready to take place in your interior. Dimensions: 140.5cm wide, 80cm deep, and 77.5cm high (59cm under the crosspiece, for the passage of the legs) weight: 40kg.
