Scandinavian mid century teak wall unit with a console, 1960s

This Scandinavian vintage wall unit in teak was made in Denmark some time in the 1960s. The same period and very similar to famous Poul Cadovius projects. It features four shelves and a console with two drawers. Overall dimensions: H: 199 / W: 83 / D: 30 cm. The console has a carefully selected veneer on the front, which, together with the solid handles, creates a coherent modernist look. Shelves are mounted with brass hangers on solid wood rails, and they can be placed lower or higher using regularly placed slots in the rails. Using four short rails instead of long ones increases the arrangement possibilities, allowing for both horizontal and vertical layouts. You can also separate the shelving unit and place it on two walls or in different rooms. It also makes shipping easier and more cost-effective. It can be a perfect entry wall unit or a functional decoration for a living room or a bedroom. The unit has been fully renovated. The wood has been cleaned with professional compounds and protected with layers of Danish oil, enhancing its beauty.
