Old sandstone bottle

Bottle late 19th century early 20th in sandstone. Its usefulness remains a mystery to me! (distillery Radiator?). It had to be sealed from the top and bottom to a pipe (a small metal pipe is visible inside). A stamp "paris aerofuge vase company" is visible if the top of the bottle (particularly heavy 2.2kg).
