Swivel piano stool with screw mechanism, Louis XV style, in carved walnut with petit point upholstery — late 19th century. This adjustable height piano stool features a central screw system, allowing the seat to rotate and be adjusted according to the musician's height. The base, richly carved in the Louis XV style, rests on four cabriole legs with floral motifs cut out at the top, joined by a central turned baluster stretcher. The apron is adorned with delicate carvings of flowers and foliage. The circular seat is upholstered in its original petit point fabric, featuring a polychrome floral design (white flowers, pink, and soft green) on an ochre/apricot background, highlighted by a trim of round-headed golden nails for a striking effect. The fabric retains beautiful colours. Height between 50 and 60 cm Diameter 35 cm. In good condition, with some signs of old insect damage.
