Set of nine deep plates in fine earthenware with green printed decoration, model "Floreal". France, circa 1920. White earthenware from Givors with dark green monochrome decoration printed under the glaze. Naturalistic floral ornamentation featuring large blooming flowers, veined foliage, and light scrolls, arranged in an asymmetrical garland on the rim. Precise design with fine lines and delicate shading, typical of Gien productions inspired by 18th-century floral models, in the aesthetic of bourgeois services from the Belle Époque. The reverse bears the printed mark "Floreal – Faïencerie Nouvelle de Givors – Lead-free glaze – France". The Faïencerie Nouvelle de Givors succeeded the faïencerie de Grigny in 1920 upon resuming operations after the war; it is not located in Givors but in Grigny. It closed its doors in 1958. Diameter: 22 cm. Homogeneous set, slight signs of use, tiny chips and minor wear to the glaze consistent with age.
