Neoclassical Silver Candy Box With Its Crystal Bowl

Period: ca. Early 20th century this pretty free-standing candy box is entirely in the neoclassical/louis XVI style. It's a quality piece. The openwork frieze of floral scroll urn motifs is very detailed and beautifully executed. The handles and the edge of the foot are decorated with a roman lictor frieze. The lid has an acorn finial. The crystal liner has a star shape cut into the base. There is an unidentified hallmark under one of the handles. Condition: good. No damage. Dimensions: 13 cm high, 11 cm diameter, 17 cm wide with handles, 0.510 kg.
