An eye-catching “Pirkka” chair designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, manufactured by Laukaan Puu in Finland around 1950. This lovely design is made of pine wood with black lacquered wooden legs and supports. The rounded finish of each element gives a nice elegant touch to this highly recognizable design! The seat is gently curved and is made of two parts, with a small opening in the center between them. The seat and backrest are finished in a beautiful warm brown colour. Marked underneath the seat, as shown in photos. Sold individually, the mentioned price is per chair. It remains in very good, original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. No structural damages or cracks to the wood, the finish to the wood still has a nice subtle shine. The chairs are ready for many years of use!
