Naïade Lamp sculpture Art Nouveau in Golden Metal Signed by J.CAUSSE

Very beautiful pair of art nouveau-sculpture lamps in gilded metal depicting two young girls draped in a light tunic each holding a flower. At the back a curved vegetable stem holds above its head an important black sheeting in black sheet metal. The lamps are equipped with a beautiful antique patina, signed on the base on one of the lamps julien causse.french sculptor born in bourges on january 27, 1869 and died in 1914 in paris, pupil of alexandre falguière. His works were exhibited at the salon des artists français in the 1890s, where he received honourable mentions in 1892 and 1900 and a third medal in 1893.
