Lavastone Coffee Table 1960s

French, oval shaped coffee table with lavastone top and wooden base. The stone surface, executed in a colour holding the middle between burnt orange and soft brown, shows a floral motif in the style of coffee tables made by french artist françois chaty for vallauris, though it is not signed. Still, a very beautiful and elegant piece, in the ever beloved french brutalist style. The table is in perfect (vintage) condition, with hardly any traces of age-related wear.
