Rare taxidermy object, a dehydrated skeleton of a seahorse, latin name hippocampus, origin and time period unknown, an absolute collector's item for the lover of curiosities and taxidermy, preserved dry. They have no scales but rows of knobs or spines called bony rings. As a result, a seahorse has both an internal and external skeleton and is too hard for many animals to eat.
