Mid-Century Scandinavian Sommerso Art Glass Vase by V. Lindstrand for Kosta

Stunning mid century modern sommerso art glass vase designed by vicke lindstrand for kosta (sweden, 1960s/70s). This beautiful vase is made of thick green, yellow and blue glass surrounded by transparent glass. It is extremely decorative. Height: 19.5 cm; width: 10 cm; depth: 8 cm. Quite heavy (2 kg). Excellent vintage condition. Some air bubbles and tiny scratches. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a transparent layer.
