Rare wall light by Harald Notini model 11262 for Bohlmarks 1950. Brass frame with pierced shadows in lacquered metal. Two light points. This rare model is the work of Swedish designer and sculptor Harald Notini. He was the artistic director of Böhlmarks and is represented at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Between the 1920s and 1950s, Böhlmarks played an important role in the Swedish design movement. Notini advanced the company by producing light fixtures that were considered pioneering and distinctive for the time. With an incomparable design, this pair of wall lights model 11262 belongs to a historic collection of fixtures from a golden age. At Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik, the 1940s and 1950s were marked by undulating forms and choices of organic materials in a fundamentally modern Swedish style. This model is no exception, featuring an astonishing brass structure and unique additional characteristics. Today, we consider the mid-century to be a golden age of Swedish design and craftsmanship. During these decades, some of the most important light fixtures in the country were designed and produced at Böhlmarks, including these exceptionally rare wall lights.
