Danish shelf with desk, 1960s

This mid-century home office shelving unit with a hanging desk was made in the 1960s and is inspired by a design by Preben Sorensen or Poul Cadovius from the same period. It is ideal as a hallway unit or as a compact workspace in a living room or bedroom. This shelving system is completely modular and can be arranged as desired thanks to a simple assembly system. Each rail consists of two pieces, offering various arrangement options. It is a classic example of Danish mid-century design, combining simplicity and functionality. The wall unit includes: a desk with two drawers (h: 14 cm / w: 80 cm / d: 45 cm, drawer inner height: 10 cm), four 20 cm deep shelves, four wooden rails, each 100 cm long, black painted metal fittings. The wall unit has been completely renovated. We sanded the wood and applied several coats of Danish oil, leaving only slight signs of wear that do not detract from the aesthetics and only confirm its originality. Two additional lower supports are included with the desk, not visible in the photos. They may prove useful in case of intensive use. It is overall in excellent condition.
