Vintage zoomorphic ceramic rooster pitcher by Poët Laval, Cocorico model, 60s

Notice to those who have trouble waking up in the morning: better than the crowing of the rooster, the drôme factory of poët laval has imagined this zoomorphic ceramic pitcher answering the sweet name of cocorico. Ideal for serving coffee, squeezed orange juice or lemon water (the liquid draining through the spout), it will look great in the middle of the breakfast table, with its original design and shimmering colors. Unless you prefer to divert it in a vase to highlight a country bouquet, thanks to its narrow neck that will keep the flowers well in place. We particularly like its stylized look and its minimalist look that emphasizes a few well-chosen details of the rooster's anatomy. The body has a deep khaki green color, to which cooking has given different shades, while the tips of the legs, eyes and barbels are highlighted with bright red and orange. The pitcher is in good general condition. It has a very nice natural patina with its enamel cracked by time. It has no splinters or cracks. Note some micro-scratches. Maximum neck length and width: 7.5 and 5 cm respectively.
