Natural patina from use, healthy wood. Accompanied by 4 medallion chairs with rounded arched backs and caned seats, curved legs, Napoleon III style. Cane work in good condition. Characterful furniture, ideal for a bourgeois dining room or a country house. 19th-century dining set — Drop-leaf table and four caned medallion chairs. Dining table with drop-leaf system in solid cherry, Directoire/Louis-Philippe style, first half of the 19th century. The top, oval in shape when extended (approximate diameter 130 cm), rests on four tapered and fluted legs characteristic of the period. The drop-leaf mechanism, fully functional, allows the two side demi-lunes to be folded down to reduce bulk. Beautiful golden patina of the wood, signs of use consistent with the age of the piece.
